BRITISH BRED SPORT HORSES
Chinook is Cruella's first foal. He is by Chateau de Brion and was an extremely promising youngster at his 4 and 5 year shows with Max Routledge. Chinook was graded as a stallion by Breeder's Elite, when he was 5. Unfortunately, Chinook had a very bad experience at another rider's yard, as he allowed grooms to jump this very young horse and I believe, overfaced him, causing a fall. Whatever happened, and I will never learn the truth, Chinook's confidence in people was damaged, as was his confidence in the ring. Chinook took some time out, he was gelded so he could go and spend time living back with his family, before again being sent to Jade Chloe Hall, who he trusts completely, and he is now learning new skills. Chinook recently did his first dressage test and came third, well done Nu! Chinook is about to go and try out some cross country fences, as I feel he may now like the challenge of eventing.
I was devastated when Chinook had such a terrible experience, not only because of the promising results he was gaining - Chinook's little claim to fame was he was the last ever horse to win a trophy at Royal Leisure - but because of the emotional damage done to Chinook.
